Delivery of the Digging Store container ~ Wednesday 17^th November 2010

The Digging Store container arrived at the Belfry in typically wet and misty Mendip weather.   The delivey was watched and occasionally aided by Henry Bennett, Mike Wilson, Stu (Mac) McManus and Tony Audsley.   The delivery did not go entirely to plan and the driver could not manage quite to reach the intended resting place for the container.   However, he got pretty close to it and it can always be shifted later.

Ok, it's not quite where we wanted it, but it's close.   The container is relatively light and it won't be difficult to jack it up and then skid it sideways on narrow gauge rail or even lengths of scaffold.

Should be fun.

Preparing the base for the Belfry digging store ~ Sunday 24^th October 2010

A group of Grey Beard Loons, Mike Weadon, Mike Wilson and Tony Audsley, led by Honorary G.B.L. Henry Dawson spent a pleasant(?) day at the Belfry in the autumn sunshine moving the woodpile and preparing the foundation for the new digging store (a shipping container).

In one of the photographs Henry has both feet off the ground - strange.
